LDAP: error code 53 - User passwords may not be provided in pre-encoded

Error:

LDAP: error code 53 - User passwords may not be provided in pre-encoded form OUD

Solution:

Locate to /app/oracle/middleware/asinst_1/OUD/bin and runt he below command

./dsconfig -h localhost  -p 4444 -D "cn=Directory manager"  -X set-password-policy-prop --policy-name "Default Password Policy" --set allow-pre-encoded-passwords:true --advanced

Issue while running "LDAP Connector User Sync Reconciliation" Job with error "Failed: Error Message can not be retrieved"

Issue while running "LDAP Connector User Sync Reconciliation" job  with error code

"Failed: Error Message can not be retrieved"



Error in Logs:

diagnostic.log:org.identityconnectors.framework.common.exceptions.ConnectorException: javax.naming.NameNotFoundException: [LDAP: error code 32 - The entry cn=changelog specified as the search base does not exist in the Directory Server]; remaining name 'cn=changelog'



Solution :

1) Create a replication server using below command

/app/oracle/middleware/asinst_1/OUD/bin/dsconfig -h localhost -p 4444 -D "cn=directory manager" -j ~/password.txt -X -n create-replication-server --provider-name  'Multimaster Synchronization' --set replication-port:8989 --set  replication-server-id:1 --type generic

(Note - Created a password file and provide the location file location in above command)

2) Create a replication domain using below command

/app/oracle/middleware/asinst_1/OUD/bin/dsconfig -h localhost -p 4444 -D "cn=directory manager" -j ~/password.txt -X -n create-replication-domain --provider-name  'Multimaster Synchronization' --set base-dn:dc=oud,dc=com --set  replication-server:arihant.com:8989 --set server-id:1 --type generic --domain-name dc=oud,dc=com

3) Now run the  "LDAP Connector User Sync Reconciliation" job and check the execution status

OIM 11G R2 PS3 Lab 2: Oracle Unified Directory (OUD) 11g PS3 (11.1.2.3.0) Installation and Configuration

High Level Steps

1) Install Oracle Unified Directory 11.1.2.3.0
2) Configure Oracle Unified Directory 11.1.2.3.0
3) Access the Oracle Unified Directory  from LDAP Studio

Download  OUD -

http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/middleware/id-mgmt/downloads/oid-11gr2-2104316.html


1) Install Oracle Unified Directory 11.1.2.3.0

* Run the setup.exe -jreLoc C:\jdk1.7.0_55\jre



* Click on Next


* Select Skip Software updtes and click on Next


* Click on Next

* Browse the path and click on Next


* Click on Install


* Click on Next



* Click on Finish



2) Configure Oracle Unified Directory 11.1.2.3.0

* Run the oud-setup.bat from the path where you installed the OUD


* Click on Next


* Provide the hostname, port, DN and password and click on Next


* This configuration is for standalone  server, If you have relication topology then select second option.


* Give your Directory Base DN and click on Next


* If you have specific integration then select 2,3 & 4 option according to you requirement. In this setup we are are going with no integration option.


* In PS2 OUD we get below different options to tune the server

   1) Provide Dedicated memory
   2) Provide Runtime memory

In Current setup we are going with Runtime memory option




* Click on Finish


* Click on Close



3) Access the Oracle Unified Directory  from LDAP Studio
